44. Claire Tennant
Sculpture
Claire Tennant is a Bendigo-based sculptor, mould maker and educator. Her practice spans contemporary sculpture, life-casting, public engagement and technical mould-making, drawing on a career spent working across art, design and fabrication.
Alongside developing her own sculptural work, she creates bespoke commissions and teaches workshops from her Bendigo studio. Her work explores themes of identity, connection, memory and place through a combination of figurative sculpture, symbolism and material storytelling.
Whether creating exhibition pieces, teaching emerging makers or preserving personal stories through life-casting, Tennant's practice is driven by a fascination with what it means to be human.
