Painting

Gail Tavener was born, raised and still lives in Bendigo. Her love of drawing came from an early childhood interest in wildflowers and insects, which she would collect and draw.

She has now been painting for over 45 years and uses whatever medium will suit the piece she is working on at the time. Her work covers a large variety of styles and subjects. Gail has been fortunate to be a multi-award winner in photography from 1964 as well as for painting since 1981.

Some of Gail's works are now reproduced onto Giclee limited edition art prints, postcards, gift cards, textiles etc., which are all made in Bendigo. A passion for Bendigo and surrounds, her ever evolving garden and its abundant birdlife continues to inspire the creative process.
