Painting, Drawing & Printmaking

Born in country Victoria (Australia), Alicia Thomas’s need to create art has been lifelong.

After pursuing a career in nursing, she studied drawing privately and then went on to complete a Diploma of Visual Arts at Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE and a Bachelor of Creative Arts, Majoring in Fine Art, at Latrobe University.

Thomas works from an open studio space as part of the View Street Artist Collective at Valentine’s Antique Gallery in Bendigo.

Her work encompasses painting, drawing and printmaking and revolves around finding an outlet to express experiences while striving to avoid being didactic to the viewer. Her art is generally figurative, symbolic, detailed and considered.
