Coloured pencil, painting & pyrography
Drawing has been a life passion inspired by family holidays and a way to alleviate boredom as a child. Now as an adult the act of drawing is an integral part of maintaining my health. The thrill of saying to myself, ‘I drew that,’ is what keeps me motivated and knowing the next drawing will be an improvement on the last.
Trained in horticulture and animal technology, I have now brought my interests together to study the connections and natural relationships within the environment.
Living on twenty acres in the Greater Bendigo Region, Dja Dja Wurrung country, allows me to explore these connections through different mediums like coloured pencils, graphite, woodburning, acrylic and watercolour paints. Immersing myself in the delicate balance in which all parts of the whole work together, to capture the essence and wonders of nature.
