I’m Steven Stanley, a painter based in Bendigo, Australia, working from my home studio surrounded by brushes, coffee cups, and bursts of inspiration.

At 41, I’ve been a self-representing artist for five years, drawn to portraiture that feels raw, romantic, and emotionally honest. My work blends inks, acrylics, oils, pastels, and glazes—layered with birds, flowers, and expressive female forms. Inspired by nature and the human experience, I aim to create art that invites reflection and connection.

My style is intuitive, emotive, and rooted in feeling rather than perfection. If a painting makes someone feel seen or simply pause and smile, I know I’ve done something right.
