My name is Boben Mammen, and I’m an artist living and working in Bendigo. I was born in Kerala, India, surrounded by vibrant colour and natural beauty. Even though I didn’t realise it at the time, those early impressions stayed with me.

I spent many years in the Middle East, Asia and Europe working in advertising—and in the process, I was involved with designing currency for a few countries. Life hasn’t been easy, but I’ve always held onto my passion for art.

Moving to Australia brought new struggles and new inspiration—from the vast landscape to the people I now care for in disability support. My paintings reflect my journey—my memories, regrets, joys, and everything in between.
